Tainan Enterprise (Cayman) Co., Ltd.
Tainan Enterprise (Cayman) Co., Ltd. ("TEC" or the "Company") was established in 1993 as the China fashion and retail business of Tainan Enterprises Co., Ltd. ("Tainan"), a Taiwan-based OEM/ODM textile and apparel company. TEC is headquartered in Shanghai, China, and is the controlling shareholder of Tony Wear (Shanghai) Fashion, a manager of eight apparel brands, and Guan Jia (Shanghai), a ladies wear brand manager.
In 1998, the Company launched its lead menswear brand, Tony Wear, which offers smart casual clothing for China’s middle-aged male professional. The Company subsequently developed two other self-owned brands --- Tony Jeans in 2003 (urban trendy casual wear for younger men) and Emely in 2004 (smart wear for professional women). In addition, TEC also launched other self-owned brands, Tony Uomo (high-end menswear), Tony Jeans Ladies and Emely Sweetie (urban trendy casual wear for young ladies) in the Fall of 2008. For its self-owned brands, the Company designs, promotes and sells its collections through a distribution network that covers all of China’s major cities. TEC also holds the exclusive China licensing, manufacturing and distribution rights for well-established international brands, Camel Active, and New Man. TEC distributes its brand collections through self-owned specialty stores, department store counters and franchisee outlets, totaling over 870 points-of-sale across China.
